SENIOR GATORS

This level is mostly for YMCA National, US Sectional, US Junior and Senior National level swimmers that are committed to reaching 100% of their potential in the sport.  The Senior Gators will incorporate extensive stroke technique, dryland training, nutritional education, endurance training, preparation for competition and race strategy.

The Senior Gators will also help swimmers with goal setting, mental training, overall strength, flexibility and coordination, as well as general knowledge of competitive swimming.

Attendance at all meets and practices is mandatory.  All swimmers are required to be USA swimming registered.

The Senior Gators will practice 6-8 times per week.

JUNIOR GATORS

This training level is geared towards preparing a swimmer for the senior level.  The Junior Gators will introduce a lot of the same aspects as the Senior Level.  This group is designed for the more advanced age group swimmer who has attained an advanced training capacity as well as the high school age swimmer who is not yet ready for the commitment level of the Senior Gators.  The Junior Gators will emphasize stroke technique, aerobic (endurance) conditioning, general dryland skills, and teamwork.

Attendance is the number one thing that reflects a swimmers commitment to themselves and to their team.  At the junior level of training, consistency and dedication are critical to the success of each individual.  All swimmers are required to be USA swimming registered.

The Junior Gators will practice 5 times per week.
